I wasn’t even sure what town we had ended up in. Everything was starting to look the same to
me by this point.
Most of the stores in the downtown area were picked clean,
but we were able to scrounge up some canned beans and a few other things, to
help supplement the food that Marcus had packed for us.
Finally, supplies gathered, we had settled on a small,
wooden church. It was the only structure
that seemed intact in the shambles that was left of whatever town we were
currently in.
The sun was setting as we headed inside, and already I could
hear the familiar shuffling and moans that signaled the demons’ approach.
This is going to be a long night, I thought to myself.
