Luke slept at his place. 

We had been together for almost two weeks straight, but he needed to take care of some stuff at his place. 

With Luke gone, my mind went back into overdrive. 

How can I fix this?  How can I make this stop? 

Bella hadn’t said anything, but I could see the fear in her eyes. 

It was probably the same fear that Janelle had seen in me that day in class, before she…

I want to call Luke, to make sure he’s okay.  Normally I would worry that this would make me seem clingy, and maybe it does, but consider the circumstances…

He picked up after the first ring. 

The sound of his voice calmed my mind. 

There was no video that night. No new messages. 

I still didn’t sleep.
