“It wasn’t supposed to be
like this.”
She shook her head,
taking a step towards me.
“It was supposed to go
quicker. Like it did for Sebastian. A
couple of weeks, maybe a month or two. That’s what they told me.”
I couldn’t speak. I just
stood there, in shock.
Then one word slipped out
from between my lips.
