Leah was smiling.
“They wanted you out of
the way. They wanted the school. They offered to protect me.”
She took another step
closer.
“They have power Felicia.
So much power. How could I say no? If I didn’t do it, then they would have
found someone else, and then… then they could have gotten me, too.”
And another step.
“It was just a matter of
survival. The problem is…”
Another step.
“Their way is taking too
long.”
She lunged.
